Drawing by Ronald Eyre

These drawings, by Ronald Eyre, are the result of a project done by the cyberspace-based drawing group that I'm a part that he himself suggested. The project was to select three different poses from the same model (a model of the individual artist's choice) and do timed drawings. This is what Ron drew in a mere 1 minute and then the one more developed drawing in 15 minutes. It's remarkable how far developed this drawing is for having been done in only 15 minutes.

Ron has spent much of his life as an art teacher, and his ability to draw - and quickly develop a drawing is very evident. I liked this 15 minute drawing so much that I use it as a personal "logo" on some message boards that it is appropriate for. I think it fits there and communicates a my desired message as a logo quite beautifully.

One day, Crystal, one of the cyberspace-based figure drawing group's artists, did a single drawing of 4 different group models from 4 different photos at the same time. This drawing was called "models at rest" and can be seen by clicking here . The idea sparked interest in creating a group assignment doing something similar and the assignment was created. I was one of the four potential models involved. To me it seemed like an extremely difficult assignment and I was fascinated to watch as each artist who participated overcame the challenges and created a drawing, each in a different way. This drawing, by Ronnie, shows all 4 of the potential models together in a drawing. Being the art instructor that he is, Ronnie also shared with the group each step he took in creating this drawing. He called the drawing "Guardian Angel".
