Climbing a mountain

This is a very deserted location that, for the most part, is rather devoid of vegetation or particularly impressive scenery, at least as far as what impressive scenery would probably typically be considered to be. It does have some rather interesting rock formations, and I've come to learn that every place on earth has its own unique beauty if we open our eyes, hearts, and minds, and decide to truly see it.

This was on a fairly early hike in the spring. I had just recently discovered a good way to go right up into the top peaks of the area. And, a friend and I decided to retrace the course that I had taken earlier to see what we could find. The photo was taken by my hiking buddy. The elevation here is not even 7,000 feet. But, because of the relatively low elevation of everything around it, it is quite a climb to get there and offers a lovely view. I think this photo shows the perspective of this spot quite nicely.
